Leah Solomon received her Master of Preservation Studies degree in 2016 from the Tulane University School of Architecture. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from the University of Southern California (2010).
Her varying professional experience makes her an excellent resource for historic building and site consulting services. Leah’s career also led her to specialize in historic community building and all that entails - committee leadership, research, lecturing, developing educational initiatives, fundraising, and general community engagement.
"With a unique skill set evolved through working in online media planning, public relations, conservation, and advocacy, I come to the field of Historic Preservation with a passion for historic architecture and community revitalization. I believe that preservation is a great way to enrich the character of a community through the built environment by creating a sense of place and celebrating our shared history. Plus, to my total professional enjoyment, I get to research the amazing histories of the structures we live in. It never disappoints!"
Leah is currently the Administrative Director for the Hammond Historic District Commission in Hammond, LA. Other more recent positions include: Assistant Architectural Historian at Clio Associates in New Orleans and Redevelopment Project Manager for Historic Madison, Inc in Madison, Indiana.
